The 2025 International Vacuum Insulation Symposium, IVIS 2025

Since its inception in 1998, the International Vacuum Insulation Symposium (IVIS) has been a key event in the insulation community, especially for those whose work is related with high performing vacuum based thermal insulation systems. It draws people from all over the world, with diverse backgrounds such as academics, scientists, manufacturers, and end-users.

This year, the 17th IVIS will be hosted by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), in the USA in Knoxville, Tennessee from September 10th-11th, 2025!

ORNL, in conjunction with Rincon Consulting, created this website, https://ivis2025.ornl.gov/, for easy access to all things IVIS related. Below you will find links for submitting abstracts, important dates and deadlines, registration, and so much more!

As a finale, we look forward to hosting a visit to one of the U.S. Department of Energy’s premier research facilities, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, September 12th. We welcome you to submit an abstract, or simply join us to exchange ideas, share best practices, network, and help advance the field of vacuum insulation systems while enjoying the hospitality that the city of Knoxville has to offer.
