VIPA Int’l has published its 2021-22 Annual Report informing about the association achievements in 2021 and 2022 and how we promoted the VIP sector. This year’s Annual Report presents an overview of VIPA International’s activities since the General Assembly last year. The activities carried out during this period could not have been possible without the support of the VIPA Int’l Board and the active contribution of VIPA Int’l members across the association’s working groups.
VIPA International is pleased to announce the first session of our new webinar series, designed to provide essential knowledge and practical insights into vacuum insulation panel (VIP) technology. This introductory webinar, “Basics of Vacuum Insulation Panels (VIPs)”, will be presented by Dipl.-Ing. Christoph Sprengard (FIW Munich) - one of the leading experts in thermal insulation and VIP research.
This year the 8th International Forum on Super Insulation Materials (IFSIM) took place in Taicang, China — a key platform for global experts, manufacturers and researchers to exchange insights on high-performance thermal insulation solutions. With over 100 participants from China, Japan, Europe, and beyond, IFSIM once again proved to be a catalyst for international cooperation and scientific progress.
Since its inception in 1998, the International Vacuum Insulation Symposium (IVIS) has been a key event in the insulation community, especially for those whose work is related with high performing vacuum based thermal insulation systems. It draws people from all over the world, with diverse backgrounds such as academics, scientists, manufacturers, and end-users. This year, the 17th IVIS will be hosted by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), in the USA in Knoxville, Tennessee from September 10th-11th, 2025!

From October 10 to 12, 2024, with strong support from the China Association of Thermal Insulation and Energy Efficiency Materials, the Taicang Association for Science and Technology, the Insulation Materials Branch of the Chinese Ceramic Society, and the International Vacuum Insulation Panel Association (VIPA), the 7th International Forum of Super Insulation Materials (IFSIM 2024) was successfully held in Taicang.
In April 2024, Vladimir Pogač stepped into the role of President of VIPA International. Sebastian Baars (former President) will continue as Vice President together with John Balazs.We would like to thank our Executive Committee for their continued dedication to VIPA International.
