The super insulation materials industry and scientific community will gather in Paris this month for IVIS 2017
The 13th International Vacuum Insulation Symposium (IVIS) will kick-off in two weeks’ time from 20 to 21 September in Paris, France. VIPA International is a proud sponsor of this bi-annual event and is looking forward to meet with the scientific community and industry during the two days of sessions dedicated to super insulation materials (SIM).
Since its creation back in the early 2000s, IVIS has been the key event for the vacuum insulation panel (VIP) industry gathering scientists, academics, companies and professionals in this field. This year’s event is organised by the CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment), the French Building Research Institute and it will coincide with the closure of the EBC-IEA funded project Annex 65: Long Term Performance of Super-Insulating Materials in Building Components and Systems.
VIPA International’s President Gregor Erbenich (Porextherm) will be the keynote speaker of the opening session of IVIS on 20 September and the secretariat of the association will be present at the exhibition area with a stand. Just before the start of IVIS, on 19 September, VIPA International will have a series of internal meetings including its General Assembly.
“IVIS is a great opportunity for a focused discussion with industry and academia on the prospects of this technology and the growth of the different market applications,” explained Gregor Erbenich. “Within the association we are all looking forward for IVIS especially for the opportunity to meet new companies and partners that can eventually join VIPA and contribute together with us to the progress and growth of our industry.”
