VIPA International appoints new President

Members of the Vacuum Insulation Panel Association, VIPA International, welcome Gregor Erbenich (Porextherm) as the new President of the association. He succeeds Roland Caps from va-Q-tec, who decided to step-down following his two-year tenure as President of VIPA.

Gregor Erbenich was appointed President of VIPA International during the General Assembly of the association which took place in Barcelona on 12 October this year. Gregor is the Head of Sales & Marketing NTI within Morgan Advanced Materials Thermal Ceramics – Porextherm. He has been serving as a Board member of the association since January 2015 and as chair of the Public Affairs Working Group since early 2016.

During the General Assembly in Barcelona, the membership approved the annual accounts, the work plan and also the Annual Report of Activities of the association. The document summarises the activities worked on the past year, including the technical studies that have been commissioned, the co-operation agreement with the GSH and the contribution to the European standardisation process.

Gregor Erbenich noted his satisfaction with his election: “I am pleased with this nomination and with the opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s growth and expansion during my mandate. I would personally like to thank Roland Caps for his work, commitment and dedication in the past two years which were essential to the creation of VIPA International.”
